While the world’s best oceanic cruisers were building their new boats for being able to participate in the next Vendee Globe, Javier Bubi Sansó turned around IMOCA’s guidelines with a revolutionary proposal. To build the world’s first eco-efficient boat and being able to compete against the rest of the IMOCA 60 in the world’s most extreme oceanic regatta.

Bubi Sansó is going to compete in the round-the-world, single-handed, non-stop yacht race at the end of the year. Hydrogen cells, photovoltaic skins, hydro-generators and wind turbines fill the boat. It is fitted with the first electric motor designed for an ocean-going vessel IMOCA 60.
